Hi I'm Grace!
A disability advocate, adaptive athlete & blogger
I have Spina Bifida and have been physically disabled since birth. The past 17 years have been filled with overcoming obstacles, advocating for myself, and most importantly joy! I am just like any other high-schooler I love going to football games, hanging out with friends, and wheelchair racing. I am on my high school's Track and Field team.
One thing that I learned from an early age is never to accept "no" or "can't" for an answer. I have been blessed with lots of support from family and friends role models in my life who have helped pave the path for me.

In middle school and going into high school I felt very alone regarding my disability I felt like I was one of very few going through it. It was getting involved in adaptive sports that showed me that I am not alone.

The matter of truth is that disability can be a very scary and isolating thing but can also be so beautiful. My hope for this blog is for someone with a disability or a parent/caregiver of someone with a disability to see this and realize all the opportunities and how wonderful life can be even though you are living with a disability and show people that they are never alone in their struggles.
